Our school mission statement, decided by pupils, is: We follow in Christ’s footsteps.
This makes our school a fantastic place to learn, achieve and thrive.
St Patrick’s welcome 4-11 year old children:
- We have a planned admission number of 25 places in each age group from Reception (start of statutory school age) to Year 6 (final primary year before transfer to secondary education);
- We have 1 class in each age group which enables our children to benefit from small class sizes and a close-knit school family ethos. At St Patrick’s, every child is known;
- We have breakfast club childcare from 8.00am-8.45am;
- We have close links with local after-school provision and, during term time, we provide a range of additional after school clubs which change as we progress through the academic year.
Joining our school
Starting school in Reception for the first time is a milestone in a child’s life. Children join us from a wide range of local nurseries and schools, by moving into our area from other parts of the UK or abroad. We make sure our induction process is both gentle and extensive. This makes sure you and your child will feel ready, and excited, to join us.
All about us
We are proud of the rich heritage of our school building and the history of education it has provided for many pupils. As a catholic school, we warmly welcome children of the catholic faith as well as those following other faith traditions. Part of the Bishop Wilkinson Catholic Education Trust, we are partnership of schools who challenge and support each other to set the highest expectations for our staff and our pupils. We relish this approach.
We welcome all children – no matter what their individual needs – and strive to include them with additional support in all areas of the curriculum. We aim for every child to make progress whatever their starting point or background.
